This is a beautiful hike. Lots to look at. It is quite a climb— steep stairs, steep switchbacks all the way. Many nice places to pause and rest along the way. There were a lot of recently downed trees, all but one had been cleared, and some scrambling under was needed in the way up. There was one place where there was a rock slide, and the trail was passable but dicey with loose gravel. Hiking poles a must for the way down. Beautiful ridge loop. My 15 year old son and I thoroughly enjoyed our day on this trail.
