The trail is beautiful. Gorgeous views of Pahto (Adams). Wildflowers (mostly fireweed) and berries. Mosquitos and flies were annoying but not too bad at Riley Meadows, pretty relentless up till then every time we stopped. I got stung two separate times by bees. No water from the trailhead till the meadows. We camped at the meadows and day hiked to what I think is Lewis River where we turned back rather than continue to high camp because not everyone in our party was comfortable with the creek crossing. I think earlier in the AM it would have felt easier when the flow was lower.
