Puget Sound and Islands > Whidbey Island
Sunset over Whidbey Island

A beautiful Sunset hike on Whidbey Island. I was not motivated to get up this morning and drive very far so I chose to wait until just before Sunset to hike out on Ebey's Landing and try and get a nice sunset and I was not disappointed.

This trail is about 3.25 miles long and starts at the parking lot and then heading North up the hill on to the Bluff Trail. It is a loop trail so you can do the beach first if you like. Just watch for the tides. I was trying to get up high on the bluff to set up my video camera for a sunset. This hike is up and down along the bluff but once you get down past Perego's Lagoon hike downhill to the beach and hike the beach back to the parking lot. If you try a sunset hike make sure you have a head lamp because you might need it if you wait more then and hour after sunset. There is no light out here to guide you.

Checkout the video of this by clicking on the link below or checkout some of my other 400 hikes of Washington State on my VIMEO Channel at https://vimeo.com/mikemorrison.

I know the video is long so if you do not want to spend that much time once you get to the beginning of the sunset scroll to the last 3 minutes and checkout the beautiful Sunset Colors.

As always get out and see this beautiful state and enjoy your hiking!!

Take Care,

Mike

The 31 min long video def needs some editing . Nobody in this ADD society will watch a video that longer than 45 seconds...lol.
