What I love about this place is that even with a mostly filled parking lot you can still find a lonely trail to be on. In fact, I only ran into one other person the whole 2 miles I walked. The trails are dry and comfortable to walk on. There's such a maze of trails that a map is smart, but I honestly find just having google maps at the ready is handy since signal is abundant and it shows you right where you are plus all the trails in the forest. I walked a nice stretch down the Lost trail back to the service road, then down to Croaking Frog and the Sunbelt loop, then back the way I came. Beautiful sunny day and the trees provide lots of shade.
