The large washout at the junction between paved road and gravel for FS 7030 has definitely been fixed! Still some pretty gnarly large potholes, occasional fallen rocks, and narrow dirt road to get to the trailhead. Most vehicles should be safe to make it to the trailhead if they’re willing to go slow and have a bit of clearance. The strep part of the trail is always quite exposed so you may want to bring extra water on hot days like today. Endless fields of ripe berries once you reach the final forest walk to the lookout! The lookout itself was staffed until 6pm today.
