Scorpion Mountain via Johnson Ridge — Saturday, Sep. 16, 2023

Trail run started later in the day. Passed a dozen people, mix of day hikers and backpackers. Trail is in good condition, just be mindful of loose dirt in areas, especially when navigating up to the top clearing of Scorpion Mountain. About half mile, or less, is a ground hornet nest in a decomposing stump in the middle of the trail. I had several passerby’s mentioned it, can be navigated around on the north side without much issue. Clear and sunny, my goodness I forgot the views.
