A sunny and warm fall day is priceless in Seattle. After just over 3-hour’s of drive, we arrived at Artist Point and started our ascent of 700 vertical feet to Table Mountain. Been here many times over more than 40 years, it is noticed that the condition of the steep but short trail actually got worse with more loose rocks and bigger steps. Still the autumn view between Mt. Baker and Mt. Shukson is unique and being able to navigate in shorts in October is precious.
After spending more time coming down than up, we stopped at Picture Lake as usual. The reflections on a calm and sunny day with the fall colors is still breathtaking!
Overall a memorable outing under a blue October sky to an old stumping ground before the snow and cold comes.
