Mount Rainier Area > SE - Cayuse Pass/Stevens Canyon

Arrived at lot at 10:20a, lot full but we found a spot to park. Parking lot was full when we returned from the hike which led to people parking on the shoulder and walking on the road to get to TH, so drive slowly. We saw one car slide off the soft shoulder that would definitely need a tow to get out. No toilet paper at TH toilet, and approx 15 people in line.  People of all ages at this popular hike, and varying walking pace throughout the trail. This is not the trail to escape the crowds, but it’s a great impact hike for the views if you want to see the vivid fall colors in bloom and Mt Rainier in its awesome glory. The drone flying overhead was annoying. Took us about 2 hrs total from start to finish to complete due to stopping for photos and helping a person who tripped and fell
