Mirror Lake via the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), Twin Lakes Snowshoe — Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023

Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass
Twin Lakes

Started our hike at 10:50. There were a number of cars parked along the side of the road but plenty of space for us. We went down to Twin Lakes on the Cold Creek Trail. The trail was narrow and slippery but there weren't any major obstacles. There was one fairly long river crossing via a downed tree but the tree is so wide most people shouldn't have a problem with it. From there, it's just a bunch of fairly steep switchbacks until you meet the PCT.

Mirror Lake is great. A lot of good fall foliage. I took a quick dip and it wasn't too cold. We hiked the PCT all the way back which was much nicer for terrain and views. We saw a bunch of pikas in the rocky areas.

The hike ended up being 8 miles and took just under 3.5 hours excluding breaks.
