Clara and Marion Lakes — Sunday, Oct. 15, 2023

Little larch update at Clara and Marion Lakes. Started our hike at 7 on a Sunday morning and was only the 3rd car of the day. The hike up to Clara gets some good elevation but nothing too crazy. They took the elk carcass out of the water thankfully. The larches at Clara were beautiful. The hike to Marion Lake is more of just a walk. Marion Lake was pretty dried out but still pretty. Did a little exploring at the lake then headed back. Saw about 15 others on the way back down to the car. Round trip 3.7 miles and 1000 feet elevation gain.
