Lake Ingalls — Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023

Amazing day for a hike, who would have thought it would be shorts and T shirt weather mid-October!  We arrived at the trailhead at 10:30 and were able to park just outside of the lot. While some of the larches are shedding needles there are still plenty with a beautiful golden hue. The lake was peaceful with a few other groups there, it did not feel crowded at all. I recommend taking the alternate route for at least one of the directions of your hike as the larches are holding more needles there and you are right down amongst them.
