We did a quick out and back to just past the Norse Peak Wilderness boundary. The new bridges along the trail to Greenwater Lakes are nice but the last bridge before entering Norse Peak Wilderness is still a flat-topped log with a wire for a handhold - one of our dogs was totally fine with it but the other needed to be carried! We hiked something around 5.5 miles in just over two hours.
The weather was great, road to the trailhead was smooth, and the trail was in good condition with just a bit of mud in a few spots. Parking lot was maybe half full. Glad we were able to get a hike in on what looks like it’ll be the last weekend before snow starts.
