Gorgeous warm, dry autumn afternoon to experience this well-graded short workout trail. Saw only a handful of people and few cars. Low clouds enshrouded both North and South summits with very limited views.
The gray jays (Camp Robbers) at South summit were very aggressive and worked in teams to dive-bomb us from both sides to partially succeed in separating us from our sandwiches.
This trail is truly a local gem and very accessible for most folks in East Jefferson Country and beyond.
Both summits could use a little TLC with a broken bench at South and a few log barrier fence poles falling down.
