Once a week we do a flat walk that 15 year old Maddy can handle. This one was perfect for her and great for us as well. The route followed the Swamp, Brink, Big Tree, Around The Lake, and Bus trails. Nice cloudy weather for exploring the beautiful mature forests along the way.

Bob and Barb on Tradition Lake Loop
I just read this report today as after reading your report from today I realized Maddy hadn't been on your trip reports recently. I think we are now at Maddy's level for hiking! My 85th BD is today and we are at the meandering stage in our hiking! How is she doing?

Maddy on Tradition Lake Loop
Thank you for asking. She just turned 15 on Valentines Day! She is happy and sweet but no longer able to hike. Her back end is very weak now. She's able to get around the house well enough. When we try to hike with her she walks very slowly and poops out in less than 1/4 mile.
