Trip Report

Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge — Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023

Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area

This wildlife preserve is easily accessed from the freeway; once you are parked and begin the walk the freeway is easily forgotten.

Our hiking group enjoyed a cool, sunny morning with no wind as we walked past wetlands and out onto the delta. Many birds of various kinds were feeding. There are a couple of trail branches and a picnic area near the barns remaining from an old dairy farm.
