There were a few small patches of snow and ice on the trail. Microspikes weren't necessary but trekking poles were helpful. We did the small lollipop loop and fortunately the rock ledges were free of snow and ice, but I imagine this option will be out soon (I'll link a prior trip report with a description of that route and GPS track).
