No snow on the trail, but there is some ice. There were only really two very short sections that had actual ice on them, but I really felt I needed my microspikes because they would be very hard to cross safely without spikes and poles.
The sun spends much of the day behind the mountains this time of year, there's not much time for basking in the sun by the lake!
