Saddle Rock — Monday, Dec. 11, 2023

The trail is in good condition right now with very little snow and hardly any mud. The steep gravel section that is typically very loose in the drier months has good traction at the moment because the rocks are compacted due to moisture, so it's actually much more enjoyable than usual. The snow covered hillsides contrasted with the blue Columbia River made for some beautiful summit views!
