Trip Report

Lake Serene — Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023

Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West

Ice crusted snow on the open slope just before the lake but (IMO) not worth the effort of putting on microspikes. Otherwise no traction thoughts/concerns. Having a hiking pole was helpful on the descent, there's lots of water crossing the trail and some of the rocks were slick. Gaiters helped with the stream crossings as well.

I've seen your trip reports previously. I finally had the time to read up on the whole WTC building 7 controversy. After looking at info from both sides, I have landed on the side of the Govts theory that the fires weakened the structure, the core collapsed and then the shell collapsed in free fall. The notion that it was a controlled demolition doesn't make any sense. Why would someone do that 7 hours after the attack and with the building empty?? Anyway it was an interesting topic that I didn't know anything about so thank you for making me aware. You obviously have a sustained passion on this topic.

I find it disgusting to see the wilderness used to spread conspiracies which have nothing to do with the WTA or the hike. You should be ashamed of yourself. Disturbing misuse of the internet in this way is going to really wreck everything.

I appreciate your passion and agree with you. My Grandfather was an engineer and knew right away we were being lied to. If you care to look into our food system, you may be even more surprised. www.watchdominion.com
