With all the snow, you have to park across from the fire station in this plowed section. The trail starts on this private road. Follow this road and use your GPS. Roughly two miles up the road, you'll see the hex mtn trail sign on the right side. At this point the trail becomes fainter and and steeper. Post holing starts to get bad after this point. Definitely use your gps because the trail intersects multiple times with other trails. There was a faint boot path we followed to the top. Views were pretty awesome. Overall, hike was pretty solid.
