So nice to be back!
FS road up was mostly clear until about 1/2 mile from the trailhead. The snow was fine the rest of the way. Drove in the ruts left by other vehicles.
Trail was primarily packed snow. I had my spikes with me but never ended up using them, just balanced on my pole.
The lake has a lovely icy crust and the snow is gorgeous. Heard lots of cracking sounds from the mountain.
Perfect way to spend a Sunday morning.
