Arrived at the trailhead at 11am to a relatively tame Saturday crowd (maybe ~10 cars). The weather was pretty misty and rainy, but we prayed to the rain gods to go easy on us so we knew we would get some views at the top. The trail was in great condition diction given the moisture with only one standing mud puddle in the tread at the end of the switchbacks. We went clockwise along the summit loop and enjoyed great views of Cushman and a shy Ellinor. The trail is effectively snow free with one patch of snow at 4250’ (which is pretty alarming). We saw a stellar sunset on the way down to the car and on the lake, and returned to the car at 4:45pm.
