*there is a honeybucket at the trailhead
While the main trail was snow-free, it was not ice-free. In fact two of our party took a fall at various sections of the road-like portion where there’s some wicked big patches of ice so take care and “walk like a penguin”
The muddy sections were frozen solid but not slippery. Spikes will come in handy for the log crossing or you can scoot across the log.
There were a few downed trees but nothing that wasn’t easy to step over or around.
stay warm and hike on!
