It was a cold day, in the twenties, but with a good jacket and a hat it wasn't uncomfortable. A very easy and pretty hike, mostly flat with barely any elevation gain. There are many possible routes and several intersecting loops, some which allow horses and bikes and some which don't, but the signage is pretty clear. There was a fair amount of ice on some areas of the trail, which will likely turn to mud in warmer weather, but it was mostly avoidable. The dirt and ground was frozen and it turned up some cool patterns. There were only a few people and it was Sunday, but that was likely because of the weather. Very pretty forest area even in the winter, probably even nicer in spring or fall, though probably with more bugs.
