Went for a sunrise hike on a very cold day. It was lovely and worth the early wake up.
The road to the TH posed no issues and any car can make it.
The trail is packed snow from the TH. There are a few spots where it’s sheer ice (around creeks). We had micro spikes and poles. Going up, we didn’t put the spikes until the first icy bit. On the way them, we had them the whole way and I still slipped and fell.
I would not go on this trail unless you have spikes. People without were really struggling.
The top and a couple of spots on the trail were super windy, which is almost always my experience here. Bring appropriate clothing.
