Great place for easy access to practice snow-shoeing and various other snow activities. Saw several families pulling sleds with little kids or even people cross-country skiing.
The road off I-90 is snow covered so if you want to get to trailhead you will want a vehicle that gets around in the snow. We were with a large group with snowshoes and enjoyed that it was perfect for beginner level
