Arrived at the trailhead at 11:00 am - plenty of spots available (possibly being on the tail end of the rain storm helped?). A few muddy areas (mostly lower down), but nothing unexpected for this time of year, and nothing requiring waders or wellies :). It didn't really rain today, but there was a lot of drippyness from the wet trees all day.
The day was warm (mid 50's in North Bend). Given that, the trail was 100% ice free. No snow patches until the last 1-2 hundred feet of rocky trail before the haystack, and even there the rock was almost entirely snow free.
Did not assess the haystack scramble route. Pic is near the base of the haystack.
No real obstacles except for 1 tree to step over, a couple of muddy spots, and soft snow for very few steps up top.
