Arrived at the TH at 8:30am with plenty of room in the parking lot. One of the toilets in the campground was open. We hiked the loop clockwise and included the view trail at the back side of the loop to the overlook of Lake Cushman for a total of almost 8 miles and almost 2000 elevation gain. All trails were snow and ice free. There were a couple of downed trees to navigate but the trails and bridges were otherwise well-maintained and well-signed.
All the trees, moss and ground cover were so lush and green. The creeks and rivers were flowing swiftly. A beautiful winter hike!
