Little Mountain Park - Up Quick, Little Mountain Park - Bonnie and Clyde Loop — Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024

Puget Sound and Islands > Bellingham Area
Lower Surfer's Way.

I arrived at the large parking area off of Little Mountain Road around 9:30 and there was ample parking on a cloudy Saturday morning. The privies in the parking area are in good shape and you do not need a pass of any kind to park there. I did not hike these loops exactly as described in the WTA entries, but hiked all of the trails mentioned so they are included in this report. WTA really should add an entry just for "Little Mountain Park" to the hiking guide because there are many different ways to use the trails to cobble together a day hike to suit any need.

From the parking area, my outbound route was Hop Connector-->Rooty Trail-->Huff & Puff-->a short walk on the Service Road-->Sidewinder to the viewpoints-->Ginny's Trail-->Bonnie & Clyde's-->West Loop-->Up Quick-->Ridge Trail to the viewpoints and lunch.

From the viewpoints, my inbound route was Ridge Trail-->Mossy Rock-->Upper Surfer's Way-->Lower Surfer's Way-->La-Z-Boy-->Cairn Trail-->Nature Trail-->Sidekick Trail-->Cairn Trail-->La-Z-Boy-->Hop Connector to the parking area. Strava measured my route to be about 8.8 miles in length and I arrived back at my car around 2:30 PM.

All the trails are in great shape with no obstacles of note. There is only a little bit of mud in a few small areas but nothing to worry about. There were several people out hiking and biking today but the trails never felt crowded.
