There was just one other party starting when we arrived around 8:30. There was one tree down (we shimmied under). Snow started on the trail roughly 2 miles in., My friend didn’t use spikes on the way to the lake, but we both wore them on the way out.,The trail was easy to follow and the lake is still partially frozen and beautiful,. It was a gorgeous bluebird day yet we only saw 10 other people and 3 friendly pups. 8.5 miles / 2,500 ft of gain
