What a gorgeous weekend! We had Friday off, so decided to do a short hike at Dash Point State Park. We took our daughter, grandbaby and mother-in-law, who was in town and had never been to this park. The wind was blowing and brisk, so we didn't linger on the beach, although it looked like the tide was way out and there were several other, more hardy folks out there enjoying it. We hiked 2.57 miles, starting on the Thames Creek Trail and then onto the Boundary trail. Even with the map we still got turned around a bit. Saw some Indian Plum (Osoberry) blooming. With the gorgeous weather I'm sure there will be much more blooming after this weekend. A great little park!
