Mount Ellinor — Sunday, Mar. 24, 2024

Olympic Peninsula > Hood Canal
close to chute

Parked 1.4 miles before lower trailhead due to snow. Snow covered most of the road from there. Trail almost completely snow covered in varying depths.  Deeper snow closer to chute, used snowshoes. Got up to about 5,000 feet and called it a day. Snow is deep and occasionally sunk in deep if not careful with foot placement. Some climbers hardier then us passed us on way up and were on way back down at our turn around point. All in all was good practice for us.
