The trail is in good
condition to Hannegan Camp. Since it was just a one nighter, we only went that far. (we did not hit the trail until 3:00 on friday). I'm sure you have ""been there, done that."" There was still a large patch of snow at Hannegan camp, which we pitched our tent on for minimum impact. I would recommend this, as there are far fewer bugs hovering over the snow! As we were hiking back down on Saturday, we must have passed about fifty people on their way up. Half were day hikers. All of them asked us, ""do the bugs get better as you go up'"" Well if your headed in that direction the answer is no. I wanted to tell them yes, so they would have something to look forward to, but I decided that would be morally wrong. Overall it was a nice hike but you may want to try it in the off season to avoid the crowds of both humans and bugs.
