Trip Report

Lake Dorothy - Lake Bear - Lake Deer — Friday, Jun. 5, 1998

Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West
Trail is snow free to the lake. Trail was in good condition and not too muddy.. pretty waterfall alongside the trail and under the footbridge. We only went as far as the bottom of the lake, so I have no idea how far the trail was snow free past that point. There was water over the road about 1.2 miles before the trailhead, so we decided not to take our friend's nice Camry over the stream and hiked the extra distance. Plenty of trucks and jeeps drove all the way in. Nice views of Big Snow Mtn. from lake outlet - very pleasant hike!
