There are five windfalls ranging from 8 to 24 inches in diameter. Snow patches start at 3300 feet elevation (2.2 miles) and the trail is mostly snow-covered within 1/2 mile of the lake. The average snow depth around the lake is less than one foot. The lake is 75% snow covered. About half of the campsites are out from under snow.
