Camped Saturday night near Coleman Pinnacle. The trail was in fine shape. There are 2 snowfields just past the Chain Lakes intersection that had some moderate exposure that were forcing some folks to turn back. Obviously, an ice axe was helpful for this and the rest of the snow on the trail. There *were* plenty of folks who were doing it without them, however. Overall, there was still snow on roughly 40% of the trail. Considerable cloud cover on Saturday, but it lifted Sunday morning and we had a nice sunrise. Clouds, fog and rain dogged us for most of the way out. Pics at http://photos.yahoo.com/keven_elliff
