Trip Report

Talapus and Olallie Lakes — Friday, May. 3, 2002

Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass
The road is blocked by snow at 2530 feet elevation at MP 2.8. There are patches of snow on the road and trail from that point, with the trail becoming mostly snow covered above 2800 feet and completely snow covered above 3100 feet. The lake is 90% frozen with up to four feet of snow. Sky was overcast with light snow falling above 2100 feet. If hydrocarbons are responsible for global warming, I'll be taking some long road trips this summer and eating more beans. Winter is really beginning to get old.
