I took a friend of mine up to the top of Little Si on Sunday morning, she had never been there. I remember it being harder than it really was -- but last time I went I had a 4-month old wiggling baby on my back! This time I left the now 18-month old (still wiggly) wonder at home.
The trail was in good shape, a little muddy in spots but not bad. We started about 8:30 am, and after a prolonged stay at the top, were back at the car at 11:15. We passed hordes of people on the way back, and we left the summit because of all the people. We heard some people were waiting 15 minutes for a parking spot, and the overflow lot by the bridge was full as well. Can't hardly blame them though -- a nice, short hike on an incredible day, I was surprised there weren't more people. This is the best time of the year for hiking -- cool weather, beautiful sunshine, and no bugs!!
