Trip Report

Rattlesnake Ledge — Friday, Sep. 10, 2004

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area
This is my 5th trip up Rattlesnake this year, and a fun trip to take family and friends. It is 4 miles round trip and about a 1200 foot elevation gain. I have noticed that on weekends, in nice weather, it gets a tad crowded. But today we planned on going with our daughter, and her boyfriend. We left in the morning, and the weather was partly cloudy with a threat of rain. That was good, because that combination seemed to keep some other hikers away. There was some water from recent rain on the trail, but not a factor in our hike. No bugs! I noticed that they have placed newer mile markers along the trail. Nice Job! We made the hike up in less than an hour...had lunch on the ridge, took some pictures, then ventured up a couple hundred more feet before heading down. The trail is in great shape. It was a good bonding experience for us and good family fun.
