North Cascades > North Cascades Highway - Hwy 20

There's a big fire burning near Winthrop right now. Today the wind was blowing from east to west, and from Maple Pass I could see smoke drifting towards Washington Pass. I didn't notice any nearby, but the wind wasn't blowing very hard today. I suppose if the wind speed and direction were right, there could be smoke blown into this area. On the plus side, the cool weather earlier this week seems to have finished off the bugs, at least in this area.
