Rock Mountain via Rock Lake, Rock Mountain via Snowy Creek — Friday, Jul. 13, 2007

Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - East
Final Approach
The Road to Rock Mountain via Snowy creek has 2 partial road washouts that could be problems with vehicles with low ground clearance but if you take your time they can be done. The tree that blocked the road from the previous week is gone. As far as the trail goes it is in pretty good shape. A couple down trees, some water over the trail in a couple spots and being muddy in some others spots. Their is no snow on the trail. There is a snow field near the top just off the trail. It was a bit buggy on the trail so bug juice is in order. Well enough for trail conditions. It was a beautiful warm day (70's to low 80's I am guessing). Took lots of photos. Great views and plenty of flowers especially after the meadow. We were fortunate to have a breeze on the climb to the ridge and the former lookout side. I am very clad I did this great hike. I tried a few years back but due to inclement weather could not do. Would highly recommend this hike for its views and flowers.
Looking up to Rock Mountain
