WTA's ""Hike of the Month"" was a good suggestion. The trail suffered lots of down timber, but volunteers including WTA have restored the trail to excellent condition. Friday's weather was warm (low 80's) but the forest provided shade and the river provided cool breezes. Views of surrounding rocky crags are impressive. We only did 3 miles, but found a nice spot on the river for lunch before returning.No bugs Friday. The road is in pretty good shape, but potholes do increase the last 3-5 miles before the trailhead.
