Yeah, we work hard and get a lot done on our backcountry work parties, but we have a lot of fun too!

Our volunteer backcountry trips are multiday trips that allow crews to get a lot of work done over several days, often times further into a trail from the trailhead than on a typical day work party. But we don't just get a lot of work done — we make sure to have plenty of fun on our trips too.

Want to join us for a backcountry work party this summer? Read everything you need to know about how to prepare to sign up for a backcountry work party with us and how to get ready once you've signed up

Our crew leaders always make sure to remind our volunteers to stretch before getting to work.

Getting camp set up and comfortable is a team effort — and so worth it.

Playing cards at camp — classic. Pack a folding table to kick it up a notch.

Campfires and board games are so cozy on a chilly morning.

Sometimes we pack more than just trail mix — food just always tastes so good in the backcountry!

Nature sunsets are one of the best ways to end a long work day.

If you're lucky, a special guest crew member might make an appearance on trail.

Sometimes the hike to the worksite involves a little more than just hiking!

After a long day (or week!) of work, nothing feels better than a dip in the lake.
