Trail closures: The Middle Tiger, Hobart Middle Tiger and part of the Tiger Mountain trails on Tiger Mountain are closed through summer of 2025 due to construction.
Day-use closure: The day-use area at Paradise Point State Park will be closed this summer starting May 13 (the campground will stay open).
Road closures: Be aware of the following construction projects, which may cause road delays and closures:
- SR 410 (Chinook Pass) and SR 123 (Cayuse Pass) remain closed until further notice due to repair work on a landslide near Chinook Pass. The current estimated reopening date is Memorial Day weekend.
- Repair work on Forest Road 90 near Mount St. Helens has begun. Starting May 13, construction will occur from 7 p.m. through 5 a.m. every Monday through Thursday, and the road will be closed entirely on those nights from 9 p.m. through 4 a.m. The road will remain open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, as well as Memorial Day and from July 1 through 5. Expect delays and temporary closures during work hours.
- A bridge installation project on FR 76 begins June 3, and will cause traffic delays. From June 10 through 28, the road will be closed entirely at milepost 7. The project will affect access to the Covel Creek Falls and Angel Falls trailhead.
North Cascades summer operations: North Cascades National Park has announced which facilities and areas are open this summer. These include closures of some Colonial Creek South campground and Ross Lake campsites, as well as delays in opening for Diablo Dam and Cascade River roads.
Warm weekend on the way: We’ve got some warm weather in the forecast this weekend to look forward to! With sunny over-80-degree weather in many places in the state, don’t forget to pack sun protection and extra water on your adventures. And expect higher-than-usual water crossings and/or potentially dangerous snow and avalanche conditions at higher elevations.
