I have lived in Washington State since moving from the Midwest in 1960. I enjoy all kinds of hiking but my preference is to be "up", going up into the mountains. I retired from a being a photographer specializing in scientific and technical work along with photo journalism. Now I get to do the kind of work I wanted to do when I started out in the field: nature and landscapes.
