Yes, officially, it's not quite open yet (opens on 4/15) but that didn't seem to stop anyone with the day having beautiful weather for being out and about. Also, it's not blocked in any way. The trail was in fine condition. There's a few very minor washed out areas, but overall, it's in great shape. We saw a millipede and a woodpecker, as well as lots of mountain bikers, but that was it in terms of wildlife. There were a few wildflowers along the path, too. This trail has a terrific amount of variety for a relatively short hike: Cool, dark forest Creek crossings (five nicely maintained and constructed bridges in total) Creepy, mossy vine maples Clearcut section with views and open sunshine Newer forest Plus, there's the mystery trees, an odd throne carved out of a tree stump, and lots of overturned logs and stumps that give you fun things to look at and investigate as you go.
