Mailbox Peak - Old Trail — Friday, Feb. 26, 2016

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area

Overall 5.7mi RT 1300m ascent. Old trail up, old trail down. On this particular Friday, Mailbox Peak was some type of social event. Ran into an old friend coming up the trail on my way down, which was somewhat unlikely as this was the first time I took the route on the boulders (the woods trail was deep, fluffy snow). A group of two arrived at the summit shortly after me and one was all smiley with me. On the descent, a group of two had to stand and wait for their friend, who spent five minutes flirting with me. I finally saw he was wearing a ring. I don't know if there's a moral to this story, but February Fridays shortly after Valentine's Day are apparently on-trail flirtation days.
