I have been hiking since the early 60's when weekends away from college were spent in the Adirondacks. The 70's found my family in Washington State and we were hiking and backpacking in the Cascades. Most of my hiking is done on the East side. In the winter I enjoy the Eastern Washington desert especially the Columbia National Wildlife Refuge.
