Rod Hooker's Work Parties

Over two work parties, WTA is hoping to re-open the Beacon Rock Lower Loop trail so that folks can hike on it again without twisting their ankles on rocks they can't see or fighting their way through a woody jungle. Come be part of the fun!

This work party will continue the work on Tarbell Trail (from Grouse Vista Trailhead) that WTA will have started on December 4th. Join us to help improve this close-to-town trail system.

Last year, WTA crews created a new, barrier-free trail system at Behrens Woods. This work party will be a rake-stravaganza to maintain it! You will focus mostly on removing leaves and organic material from the gravel path to help preserve the surface.

In 2024, WTA rebuilt this 1/2-mile trail to bring it back to accessibility standards. Now we return to maintain the trail that volunteers rebuilt!
