Hiking Pigeon Creek Trail

The Pigeon Creek Trail takes you for a stroll along Everett's industrial waterfront. Watch the Port of Everett operate, relax on the beach, watch for trains, and enjoy bird watching from the end of the trail. Walk along a paved surface, next to the railroad tracks, as you make your way from the Port to Pigeon Creek Beach.

Begin your walk on the north side, from Terminal Avenue. Make your way south, passing by the BNSF lower and upper lines. The upper line turns and dives into a tunnel that takes it to downtown Everett. The path is fenced on the side of the Port to prevent people from entering, but you can still watch the cranes, trains, and automobiles work.

Pigeon Creek Beach is at the southern end of the trail, and it is a nice landscaped viewpoint where you can look south to Mukilteo, across Possession Sound at the Olympics, and north to Camano Island. There are plenty of opportunities for wildlife viewing. You may see eagles, ospreys, herons, and hear sea lions.

The trail is open from dawn until dusk. There is no longer pedestrian access from Bond Street, so you must begin the trail at Terminal Avenue across the railroad. Pay attention to posted warnings and notices.
